It was the 88th Series final of Countdown today. It was won by some guy while Christopher Biggins looked on as you would expect. They kept the action under the credits but no one told Channel 4 as they put an ECP over it. The ECP didn't quite work, the bottom half appearing transparent for a time.
Probably more interesting is that on Wednesday's episode, they ended with carol singers instead of the theme tune. It was like they were 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown.
